Spotify says I am offline when I am not.

Spotify keeps giving me an error message saying "I am offline."  When I try to search for songs to stream with the search bar. I do not have an old glitchy phone, rather a new Galaxy J7. I have a stable connection on both WiFi and 4G LTE. I have premium. I am not logged in through Facebook. I have tried many clean uninstalls, closing and reopening the app, and clearing cache. It is not on "offline mode." (The option in settings) I cannot search new songs but can stream playlists. What is going on here? What can I do that I have not already done?
