Spotify shuts down when opening different app

When I use Spotify on my android 4.1.2. Samsung GT-I8730 mobile device it crashes a lot.

This happens when I start a offline playlist and then start any other app, like Whatsapp, Candy Crush or whatever.

Sometimes it directly stops and sometimes it stops after a couple of minutes.

In the previous version of Spotify this didn't happen. Do you know any solution to this?

Could you try reinstalling the app, following the instructions in this post. You'll need to resynch any offline playlists once you're done but it will eliminate several possibilities and make it easier to troubleshoot. Please let me know how thigs work out for you.
