Spotify stops when switching between apps

Just got a new Mele A1000G with Android 4.1.1. Installed Spotify and when playing a song then hitting home button or back button the music stops. I would like it to keep playing while I'm browsing and changing configurations and playing games etc, just like it does on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. Other apps don't do this, like when playing music from USB drive and browsing it works. Is there anything I can do about this? Why is it different on my two Android devices?

Hi. This sounds like a firmware issue rather than a spotify one. I'd suggest making sure you are running the latest firmware and getting in touch with Mele support if that doesn't help.
