Spotty Playback on Android

Spotty Playback on Android

Well, I've been living with this issue for well over a year, hoping that updates would have fixed it by now... but apparently not.

I've been having a rather peculiar glitch where my songs, at completely random intervals, will stop playing. HOWEVER, Spotify does NOT stop the song. Visually speaking, it still appears with the pause button and everything, with the seconds ticking away. It then corrects this error, sets it back to where it left off, and visually corrects itself as well. In other words, it visually keeps going, the song stops, then it corrects itself. There's no rhythm to the intervals, I've had it play great for 15 minutes, and on a few occasions come back for less than a second before it stopped again. I figured it might have been a connection error, but my signal is fine. I've even turned off my celluar connection and turned to WiFi, and it is still doing it. It's exclusively on my phone.

To compile, here's a list of what I've tried:

- Switching from Wifi to Celluar, and vice versa.
- Restarting my phone
- Clearing the Spotify cache
- Reinstalling Spotify

- Wiping the cache partition on my phone (via reboot)

- Consistently updated Spotify

- Removed the SD card, and replaced it

- Changing various settings, including streaming quality

My phone is a Huawei Ascend Mate 2, model number MT2L03, updated to the MT2-L03C00B309 update. In other words, I'm running Android 5.1 and not Android 4.3.

Any other info I will gladly provide on request! Oh, and I'm premium too, if that makes any difference.
