Hi I am not very savvy so please forgive this question if it seems ridiculous.
I use my galaxy note II a whole lot more than I use my home computer so I have a heap of artists I have added to my collection and downloaded straight to my phone. However now I have logged in on the computer and while its picking up the device and syncing from computer to android, nothing is going up the other way. Will I have to add all of these artists to my collection all over again to be able to play them through my computer instead of through my phone?

If not (since its new and only just starting to roll out to users) that will be why it appears to be missing on your desktop player.

hmmmm.... I have a heading that says 'collection; but it doesn't seem to work the same way as it does on my phone... Is that what you're asking?

Yeah, there is a new change to how the "Collection" section of the desktop client works.
In the old layout you will have:
Library
Local Files
Starred
In the new layout (which is the one you now have on your phone) you will have:
Overview
Songs
Albums
Artists
Local Files

Ok so I have to wait for the new layout on my computer?
My best guess is yes, I've asked someone from Spotify about how the roll out works since to me it seems pretty silly to give you access to a feature on one device but have no way to access it on another - especially something as important as your music collection.

Well yeah it's pretty frustrating!
I definitely prefer the way it works on my phone but its a bit of a rude shock to find this out now after spending the last month building the collection on my phone and now finding I can't move anything across. 😞
I guess I will have to wait and keep checking back for changes?
