The Spotify App for Android is Terrible

The Spotify App for Android is Terrible

I'm sure this has been posted before many times, but the more Spotify knows this the better. I have never written a negative review for any service I subscribe to until now.

 

I've been a Spotify premium subscriber for about 4 years now and the Android app has always been buggy. The most egregious problem with it is the search function hardly ever works because according to the app, I'm always "offline" and if only I would go online, then I could search Spotifys limited catalogue to my heart's content.

 

As a paid user, this is unacceptable; my experience is constantly being ruined. I'm close to canceling altogether. Is there anything anyone can do to fix this?

Hello @cranderson!

 

Sorry for the frustration. Were you able to:

 

  1. Try a soft reset. Press and hold the Home and Lock buttons for 10 seconds until the device reboots.
  2. If that doesn’t help, try a clean reinstall. Be sure to locate and remove any Spotify folders or cached data from your device before reinstalling again.
