There is an hour of silence in one podcast's episodes

Two times now, while listening to the podcast Ologies, there has been a literal hour of complete silence in the middle of the ad break. The podcast is playing and the seconds tick by. The podcast episode displays on my phone as ~2 1/2 hours long. My friend opened Apple Podcasts and also Spotify on their iPhone and saw the actual episode time was 1 hour and 18 minutes.

What is going on here? I would like to not have to skip through extremely long periods of silence. It may have been coincidence that it happened both times with the same podcast, especially considering the run time for the same episode is different in someone else's Spotify app.
