Unable to Connect Mobile and Computer

The guide on how to connect devices to one another say that they must be on the same connection, my computer and my andriod smartphone are both using the same internet connection, but my phone is using WiFi, whereas my computer is using DSL. When I try to connect my phone to my computer, it doesn't see my pc.

Is there any way I can connect them?

Shouldn't be an issue as long as you're on the same router. These sorts of issues are normally caused by firewalls.

Can you check that Windows firewall is configured to allow incoming/outgoing connections from Spotify? Also check that your router has UPnP enabled and maybe rty turing the forewall off or add another exception on that to see if it's causing an issue.
