Hi, I have a pixel 7 and when I'm in Spotify Connect mode I can't manage the device sound in the background from the home screen for example, something I could do with all my old phones. Could this bug be fixed please ?

Hiya alexandre_brcr, if you are experiencing issues with managing the sound volume of Spotify Connect while the app is running in the background on your Pixel 7, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check your phone's settings: Make sure that your phone's sound settings are configured correctly. Specifically, make sure that the media volume is turned up and that any other settings that may affect audio playback are set correctly.

  2. Check your Spotify settings: Within the Spotify app, go to Settings > Devices > Devices Available and make sure that your Pixel 7 is selected as the active device. Additionally, make sure that the "Device Broadcast Status" option is turned on.

  3. Try restarting the Spotify app: Sometimes, simply restarting the Spotify app can help to resolve issues with sound volume and other playback settings.

  4. Check for software updates: Make sure that your Pixel 7 is running the latest version of Android and that all software updates are installed. Sometimes, outdated software can cause issues with app functionality.

  5. Contact Spotify support: If none of the above solutions work, it may be helpful to contact Spotify support for further assistance. They may be able to help you troubleshoot the issue or escalate it to their technical team if necessary.

Overall, it is possible that this issue may be caused by a bug in the Spotify app or in the Android operating system. If none of the above solutions work, it may be worth reporting the issue to both Spotify and Google directly to ensure that they are aware of the problem and can work to address it in future updates.

Hope to of provided some help,
