I received a meditation on my play list that I did couple of weeks ago I have tried to share with friends on WhatsApp for example and they did get the file but they can't hear it.. what's to be done?

Could you share a bit more information on the issue you're experiencing, as we didn't get it exactly.

Are you trying to share a link to a song on Spotify via WhatsApp?

Hi Diana what happened is a bit akward..I am a meditation instructor and in
my last retreat one of the assistants recorded a meditation and that
meditation I send it to a girl Marie so she could do the edition and loaded
up ..but the phony thing here is that she didn't uploaded the meditation
neither the guy who made the recording..however the morning that it was on
Spotify I have tried to share it with some friend via WhatsApp but they
couldn't hear it..and the strange thing is that I can hear it either on my
lap top or my cellphone. ...so I was wondering what might be
happening...thanks for your answer and hopefully I can share the file as it
is a very beautiful meditation!!

Thanks for the extensive description of the issue.

Is the meditation uploaded to Spotify through some content creator services or you're talking about a local file, that's only on your device? If you send us a link to it, we can confirm what's the case.

If it is a local file, you won't be able to share it through a Spotify link. Local files can be played only on the device they're on. If You want to share it, you'll have to send the file and not a link. Is this what you're doing?

Hi Diana well that's the point I don't really know who put it up but in any
case it's probably only a file that I can hear as you mentioned..what can I
do to upload the file so I can share it?

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the clarification.

As you describe it, it looks like a local file, that is an audio file you have stored on your device and it syncs with your account as previously mentioned. In this case, it's better for you to share the audio file directly and not as a link.

However, if you want to upload the file to our platform, it will be a bit more complicated process. To do so, you'll need to have an Artist profile and a Distributor. If you want to give it a chance, you can find all the detailed information and process of how to get started in this article.

Hi Oscar thanks for you answer.. anyway I am not an artist I mean I don't
have a band or anything like that...All I would like is to upload some
meditations ..you think that is too much trouble?

Everyone can upload content to Spotify, no worries. You don't have to be in a band.
