VERY slow change of tracks

VERY slow change of tracks

So spotify updated the android again, and now it's incredibly slow to change tracks. I am trying to listen to a playlist of songs that are avaialble offline on my mobile (hence there's no way to blame internet connection), and it ha taken up to 5min to change from one track to another. I tried rebooting my phone to see if it solved, but no. It is taking forever to start playing the next track, once one is done. Can someone explain to me what on Earth did the developers do? I am getting VERY annoyed with spotify updates, last time they forced users to update and it destroyed everyone's offline contents, now this slowness. I am spending more time in silence waiting for track to change, than actually listening to my music. Uffff, I am starting to reconsider my premium subscription!

First report I've seen of this. What device are you using and what version of spotify/android?

My device is a Galaxy S4 mini, with Android 4.2.2, Spotify app version 1.1.1.162

I have been using spotify on my mobile today while I'm working, instead of the computer, to test. The issue is not constant, after rebooting my mobile 3 times when it first occured, was normal, then suddenly happened again, rebooting 2 or 3 times solvel. During the last 5 hours, I had the problem 3 times.

I'm also having this issue after recently updating. Makes no sense and is very frustrating.

Android 5.0.2 on a HTC One. Spotify 5.8.0.1029

Well, I have stop paying spotify a long time ago, since their app became very unfriendly to mange files and playback became slow and laggy. Nowadays I hardly use it, have migrated to other streaming services who do not screw up constantly...

Completely removed and reinstalled yesterday, fingers crossed it hasn't happened since.
