Weird behaviour after some hours of stand-by

Recently, the Spotify Android App won't respond to the Bluetooth controls. Also, the "This song is not available" message pops up on every song except my offline available ones.

The issue started occuring after I upgraded from a Nexus 5 to a Pixel XL. In the morning, I'm listening to Spotify in my car via Bluetooth just fine - with the controls working fine. After work (about 8 to 9 hours later), it seems like Spotify is still sitting in the phones memory and resumes where I left off in the morning. But when I'm connecting to my cars bluetooth in this state, the controls from my cars stereo wont work.

Only if I close Spotify, swipe it off the recents and restart it, the buttons work again. Audio and track info transmission works just fine though. The same goes for the aformentioned issue with songs not beeing available. After restarting the Spotify app, everything works again.
