My Question or Issue

Why is the heart button suddenly gone?  Why would you guys get rid of the heart button? That doesn't make any sense. You guys keep changing this app so much. I pay for this. It's ridiculous that you're going to keep changing something that people pay for. Stop trying to think of new ways to make Spotify better and just give your customers the option of paying for something and then keeping the thing that they are paying for. I don't care if you have to call it Spotify classic or whatever. Can you please give me back what I'm paying for? All these little things keep piling up on top of this ridiculous new home feed that is genuinely going to legitimately make me cancel my subscription. Can I please have what I paid for back? Getting rid of the heart button is ridiculous. Come on. It's like you're trying to drive your customers away. What do I have to shake my phone while swiping halfway diagonal or something in order to get a song on my liked list now? Do I have to play with my phone like it's a Wii now? It wasn't simple enough to just leave all the buttons there that everybody already knows?

Also there's no invalid HTML in my post. I didn't put any HTML in my post.

+1 this is an absolutely horrible change to the UI. The fact you now need to click into the '+ Add to playlist' menu in order to check whether you've already liked a song or not is ridiculous. Was this change not tested with users? If the heart button isn't back within a week or two I'm canceling premium and switching to another streaming service. Absurd.

+1000 - It used to be no click for seeing whether a song is favorite or not - now playing a playlist each and every single song has a checkmark at that position - what the heck is this supposed to be good for?
Now I cannot check the favorite status or remove from favorites in the now playing widget and I need 2 instead of 0 steps for checking in the now playing screen of the app. Furthermore it requires 3 instead of 1 step to add a song to favorite or remove it.

If you intend to malstructure the UI, why dont you ask users first?
Why don't you work on the several performance issues (like displaying of 1000+ entry playlist crashes the app to home screen from time to time) instead of malproving the UI?

Is it so that a green checkmark in its old-heart-place on the now-playing view says that this song is either liked or that it exists in a playlist somewhere? The latter would actually be great. However, how do I see in which of my 1200 playlists the song i part of............?

I see that the option "Like" is removed from the three-dot-menu at the top, so I suppose this button is supposed to be used to like the song, right? But what if it's already green and checkmarked? Do I really have to click on it to find out?

Ok, so I click on this green check mark and see that I don't like this song, so I click on that checkmark and then return to the now-playing view.

The old heart symbol is still green and checkmarked.

I click on it again and find that it was not possible to like the song, it is not checkmarked as liked. I verify that on my desktop, the song is not liked. What?? I try again, and again, but it is not possible to like the song!

So, I like the song on desktop, and now it show up as liked in the list that appears after clicking on this green checkmark.

But I cannot dis-like the song from android....but wait, there is a done button at the bottom, what? No way, I have to click on Done!! Really?? Well, a done button was a kind of standard before, but nowhere else in Spotify do I need to click on a Done button and never have....

And the reason is ... that I might want to add a song to more than one playlist? Is that really a common use case? Not for me.

Furthermore, the like indication is removed in the playlist listing of songs... You can't be serious. And there is no option in the three-dot menu to like a song any longer, you have removed it...

Ok, this is the third or fourth time I give you this recommendation: Please consult a customer-care consultant and a usability expert.

I am chocked to see that you again has rolled out a horrible UI change.
