Why does my Spotify take so long to open? When I open Spotify it offline

Why does my Spotify take so long to open? When I open Spotify it offline

Every time I open Spotify it takes 30 seconds to 1 minute to start functioning. It says it's offline and then it eventually goes online and I'm able to click on a song. Even when I first open it I'm not even able to play my downloaded stuff

Thanks for reaching out! We'd love to help you get back on track with the app.

Could you try a clean reinstall of the app to see if you notice any difference? You can check how to do it by following the steps on this page. A clean reinstall will ensure that you're running the latest app version, as well as clear any saved cache that could be causing issues.

Shouldn't that do the trick, could you let us know the make & model of your device, along with the version of the operating system?

I've done a clean reinstall of the app already and that didn't help, I also factory restored my phone in hopes that would help but it did not 😞 I have a LG V60 with Android 13. 

My fiance also has the same problems and he has an Huawei phone. I'm not sure what one tho

In this case, would you mind opening a different account on the affected device to see if this behavior persists? You can create a free test account to open it there and check.

 

Just to confirm, did you use a VPN? If yes, try switching it off. Similarly, do you use any cache-clearing or task-killing apps? Take into account that these apps can affect the performance of the app. Try setting up Spotify as an exception to see if you notice any difference.

 

Lastly, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details. Also, it'd be awesome if you could send us the exact Spotify version you're running on the affected device.

 

Since you mentioned your fiancé is facing similar issues, it'd be great if he could post here sharing further details about his device. That way, we can continue investigating this further.
