Why does shuffle not play from my entire collection of liked music?

I am a fairly basic user! I have 2,100 songs in my "liked songs" and would be happy to have random tracks out of this collection. So I select shuffle. Spotify does shuffle but it doesn't seem to pick from the whole collection, it regularly picks from only part of the library. Can someone suggest how I can achieve this please? We really appreciate the time you took to report this to us. We can confirm we're aware of this behavior and it's expected. We'd like you to know other users had similar requests, so they posted some ideas about it in our Idea Boards. We located these ones:

• [All Platforms] Option to have a true shuffle
• [All Platforms] Shuffle algorithm that favours "unpopular" songs

We think these are great ideas too! That's why we'd suggest adding your vote in the thumbs up icon and subscribing to them in the three-dot menu. That way you can stay up-to-date with any relevant news about these. Even though the status in one of them is set as Not right now as there are no immediate plans to implement this, it doesn't mean the idea has been rejected.
