Why have the podcasts I listen to suddenly started playing backwards?

They play in reverse order, from newest to oldest if just left to play, quite frustrating to constantly have to select a new episode because it always takes me back to the previous one I already listened to after it finishes.

Thanks for reaching out. This should all depend on how you've sorted the episodes. The playback goes down the list, so sorting them newest to oldest will cause them to play in reverse chronological order. If you sort them oldest to newest, they should play in the desired order.

Not true, they've always played oldest to newest in the past, despite the order being "newest to oldest". on my spotify (on phone and desktop) it changed overnight without me changing any settings. it's very frustrating. Swapping the order doesn't help (and is a poor solution in any case). 

Am i going to have to find a DIFFERENT podcast platform and probably CANCEL my spotify premium membership at the same time????😱
