Why not sync iTunes Playlists?

Why not sync iTunes Playlists?

I was trying to figure out how to use my local files to play inside Spotify and then sync that files to my Android device. The best option i found until now is that:

  1. Enable local files from iTunes;
  2. Import all iTunes playlists with File > Import playlists > iTunes;
  3. On Android I see all the playlists and I can download them to device.

But there is a missing feature here! As I imported the playlist, when I add a new song to that playlist on iTunes, I have to import ALL the playlists again to Spotify and then download ALL the files again on Android. This is a time wasting! 😞

Why does not enable Spotify to sync iTunes playlists instead of import them only? So I can see that content on my phone and Spotify could download new songs or remove ones in that playlist.

Another bad thing using the import playlists feature is that all the playlists turns public. Why do an imported playlist with local files could be public? Probably other users won't be able to play the content.

The reason to write this post is that I have an iTunes library with more than 5k songs and many playlists. Spotify can handle that content and I can listen my musics without using another app, that is amazing! 🙂 But this feature has to be improved to make my life easier.

I found this idea on the Ideas forum, with many votes since 2012, but Spotify doesn't want to build that feature 😞
