Your episodes: wrong number of downloads

Your episodes: wrong number of downloads

In the following thread claims that the issue is resolved in the newest version.
But I am still experiencing it and have checked that I am on the latest version available in the play store.

Apparently it only got fixed on the IOS Version.

Hey @aLittleOtaku,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to check, does the same thing happen after clearing stored cache from the app? Another option is to try a clean reinstall, as this will clear cache as well. As a heads-up, you'll need to download your offline content again after the reinstall.

Shouldn't that do the trick, can you let us know what device and version of the operating system you're using, along with the Spotify version? A screenshot or video showing how things look from your end would also be helpful, just make sure it doesn't include any personal info.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Hallo,
I'll try cleaning the cache when it happens again. It is possible though,
because it ever happen right after I downloaded an episode. My guess is
that it rewrites the cache after downloading.
Thanks for the quick response

I am having the same issue. It seems to be because I have NPR News Now on auto-download. Each hour they remove the last episode and replace it with a new one, however these removed episodes are still in the downloaded episodes count, which goes up every hour. This issue goes away briefly when I remove all downloads and starts happening again immediately afterwards.

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the thread!

@NPRnewsdownloadissue - We had a look in to this, and it seems expected that a downloaded item won't be removed right away, if removed from our library, as the content is saved in the app's cache. In this case, it's worth giving it a few days so that the list has time to update and resync your account info.

As an alternative, you can remove the podcasts from being auto-downloaded and manually remove the episodes from downloads once you've have listened to them. We understand that this might not be ideal, but you can give it a shot to see if you notice a difference.

Hope this clears things up!
