available devices no longer shows Yamaha receiver

I have a Yamaha RX-V779 that I have set up throughout my house. My wife, son and I all have Spotify accounts on a Samsung s6, s7, and Note 4 respectively. None of these phones or even my computer will recognize the Yamaha receiver after the last spotify update. All devices are running marshmallow and all apps are up to date. Firmware on the Yamaha is up to date. Frustrating to say the least when you have to try and deal with Spotify, Yamaha, and cell provider Rogers and everyone points the finger elsewhere. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared memory, moved files to and from Sd card, signed out of all locations, done everything all posts suggest. None of this has helped my issue. Please let me know if it's a common issue right now as Spotify was the main source of music in our house but now we can't connect properly to listen to it. We can still run Bluetooth to receiver but the control isn't there especially if you are outside.

Really no responses? is there no spotify experts here to say maybe, we're aware and working on it? or maybe some ideas of what might be wrong with it?
