Spotify starts playing loudly from Google Pixel after hanging up a phone call or after Snapchat

Spotify would just start autoplaying after I hung up a phone call or ended a Snapchat. Was very loud/innapropriate/annoying - not ideal. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it stopped the issue. hoping it doesn't come back.
