I've got the same probelm aswell. I search for a song in playlist using the filter but it plays the song that appears first in the Spotify playlist.

Android 7.1

Samsung Galaxy A5 2017

yeah and it's verry disturbing in a big playlist (300+ songs)

Exactly!

they see me scrooling

They Hatin o/

Did you get it fixed? It just started happening on mine

No it did'nt get fixed, and i have also now an issue when i use the filter on the PC app
only the song found by the filter are played, not my entire playlist ....

It worked fine yesterday, it's so weird, I didn't do anything out of the ordinary besides importing a couple of local songs to my Playlist but I don't think thats what made it flip out

A workaround if you didn't know already is to search for the song and add it to the queue instead of clicking on it, and then just skip to the next song to get to it, its still really annoying

Hi, Am facing a similar issue, where if i play a song from the filtered list, it plays the song from original playlist in the order of click (e.g: playing second in filtered list plays the second track in main list and so on)

I'm seeing this exact issue and I think I see what's going on: if you filter the playlist and tap the second track that shows up, the app plays the second track in the playlist (ditto for the first track, third track etc). It's using the filter to control what it's displaying but not when interpreting which track you tapped on to play.

+1  I've got the same problem since last Spotify update.  Please fix it.

This seems to be a super common issue. This post on Ongoing Issues says they're working on a fix.
