can't put spotify on my sony ericsson xperia

When I try to install spotify on my sony ericsson xperia SK171, google play opens a window that has a drop box that says 'No eligible devices for app install'. I have spotify premium, yet I can't get spotify onto my phone. Please help.

I should add, I did have spotify on my previous phone, a more recent version of xperia, but it was stolen, so I have gone back to my old phone.

That should wok fine. It sounds like you haven't actually registered the device with Google yet so the device isn't listed under "my devices" in play settings. What android version do you have on it?

I've been trying to figure out how to add this phone to my google account. When I go into google android device manager it just has my old phone, not the one I am using. I am logged in to my google account on the phone I am currently using but it's not acknoledging it in my devices
