had downloads; now gone

I downloaded several playlists to my Galaxy s7.  I was able to play those playlists to the audio system in my new car. 

But, a few days later, I tried again and on the phone, none of the playlists had the downloaded arrow. 

I did upgrade the phone last evening.

What happened to those downloaded playlists?  Were they wiped by the android system upgrade?  or did I change a setting without realizing it?
