local files from directories other than MUSIC showing in Library

I have uploaded my mp3 collection to my android phone in MUSIC directory.

I have selected add local files to library

spotify app adds all my mp3 but it goes into all the directories and finds mp3 files including many that are from other apps, which are not music.

is there a way to limit the local files to a few directories, or exclude directories?

We're afraid that's currently not possible in the app.

However, it looks like other users would like to have this option as well and posted this idea about it. Despite its current status, you can still add your vote to it and if anything changes in the future, we'll make sure to keep everyone updated over there.
