"Related songs" all the sudden not related at all.

"Related songs" all the sudden not related at all.

Last time I used spotify, I came up on something really weird that bothered me.

I do not have Premium, first off.

I was listening to Northlane, which is a metalcore band, and I started getting strange suggestions.

I got Counting Stars by OneRepublic, which is a pop rock band, and so I decided to start playing an album from them instead.

It played a Northlane song, and then I got "Bang Bang" by Jessie J.

I don't know how this band and these songs are related in any way. I listened to one more Northlane song and then tried a different band, which was The Devil Wears Prada, which is also the same genre as Northlane.

I got the song "Die Young" by Kesha.

It really irritates me. How does this happen and why? How can I get it to keep playing related songs that actually ARE related? How can it go from metalcore to 2014 pop music?
