"This Track Is Not Available"

"This Track Is Not Available"

Hey All!

I have a premium subsciption and love the app/service. In fact, I use it ALL THE TIME on my phone and it's worked out flawlessly.

Recently, when I would sync my device with playlists, a weird thing happens. Some tracks on my playlists play fine, others play for maybe half a song before it comes up with the error "track is not available", and sometimes this error occurs within seconds of a song playing.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Spotify on my phone only to have it run into the same problems with the same tracks. It seems that even if I uninstall the program the tracks are somehow still stored on my phone because the syncing process is 100 times more fast than when I sync a brand new playlist.

I run Andriod 4.1.1 on a Motorola Atrix HD. I'm at a loss and it's becoming frustrating 😕 Anybody else have a similar issue or know of a solution?

If it is happening with the same tracks every time, the cache could be corrupted. Try deleting the cache and data from android settings/apps after stopping the app and before reinstalling it. If these are local tracks and the issue still happens after the clean reinstall, it could be that there is a problem with the original mp3 files.

Thanks for the tips! So in trouble shooting this I:

*Followed jwylot's advice

*uninstalled/reinstalled Spotify a few times

*wiped my phone entirely (which was ultimately a good thing, it needed it!)

Still the same issues occurred

Then I tried uninstalling/reinstalling spotify and syncing it over at my buddy's house/network the other day.

And so far it works fine from what I can tell. I'm pretty sure it's my network that's wack/choppy and therefore only downloading partial songs randomly. 😕

Hi. Have you tried the connection troubleshooting tips in this post to see if it improves things? Also the latest android spotify release might have improved things for the better 🙂
