I have 500+ podcast episodes downloaded to listen to offline. a few weeks ago, I noticed that only 80ish episodes showed up when I looked at the "your episodes" thing with the internet on my phone turned off, even though they were showing as downloaded. removing the download of missing episodes and redownloading didn't make them reappear. they are not the most recent 80ish episodes either, although they are all from this calendar year and my "your episodes" playlist goes back to 2021. if I reconnect to the internet the missing episodes reappear and still say they are downloaded. the visible amount of episodes seems to fluctuate between 80 and 95.

a few days ago I noticed something like 200 of the episodes I had previously downloaded were no longer downloaded, just in the "your episodes" playlist undownloaded. I redownloaded them all thinking maybe that was causing the problem above. it seems like it wasn't because I still can't see most of my downloaded episodes when I turn the internet off.

every podcast I have downloaded from is affected by this - it's not like I can see every episode of X podcast since the new year and none of Y, it's a seemingly random mixture. even the episode I'm currently listening to doesn't show as available offline in the "your episodes" playlist, although it does play. if I navigate to the individual podcast pages I can see and play all downloaded episodes with the internet off, so they are still there, just not displaying in the "your episodes" playlist.

I have included screenshots showing that, with no internet, the "your library" page says I have 500+ episodes downloaded but when I actually tap that playlist, it shows only 80ish episodes (and more don't load if you scroll to the bottom).

Hi there @isthisrubble,

Thanks for reaching out. Be advised that the items you add to your library and/or download to your devices, the more likely it is for issues to occur. With that in mind, could you try having a smaller number of episodes downloaded and see if the behaviour improves? This will greatly help us narrow down a possible root cause.

Let us know how it goes.

Are you new to the Community? Take a moment to introduce yourself!

how many less? it will take me a few months to get through the backlog, and I have limited wifi access on my phone so if I remove a lot of episodes without listening to them I might not have the opportunity to redownload them for a while

Hi there @isthisrubble

Thanks for getting back to us.

We understand where you're coming from. As a workaround, you can add the episodes you're going to remove from downloads to a regular playlist, so you don't lose them and you'll be able to listen to them later whenever is convenient for you.

On another note, we also have this Ongoing issue which is similar to the one you're experiencing. Just to confirm, do you notice the same behavior as the one described in the Ongoing issue? If so, the issue can be related to that and we suggest that you add the info we're asking for in the Status update in the comments section. Though we can't set an exact time frame for when this will be fixed, it'll also be useful to Subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. We'll be sure to keep you updated with any news on the matter there.

Keep us posted on how it goes.
