My Question or Issue

Car Thing won’t connect to my phone if I don’t have Spotify open, which I assume is expected, BUT:

- If I open Spotify, it won’t automatically reconnect despite it saying that it’ll try to.

- If I open Spotify and go into the Car Thing reconnect menu and select my device, it seems to respring and then says my phone isn’t connected again.

- If I open Spotify and go into my phone’s bluetooth settings and try to connect to Car Thing, my phone will say it couldn’t connect to the device.

- If I fully unplug Car Thing and plug it back in, then it’ll connect.

Hey @asportnoy,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

It could be possible that some files might be corrupted and need to be replaced. In this type of case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it's more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, would you mind trying using a different device to connect to your Car Thing to see if it makes any difference? This will help us have a better look at the issue.

Lastly, don't forget to include a video where we can see the behavior you're mentioning to have a clearer view of what's happening.

We'll be waiting for your response.
