EDIT: seems to have finally updated of its own accord, still knowing a way to force a more timely update would good to know.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

We understand what you mentioned, so rest assured we'll work together to help you with this. So, in this case, we recommend trying a factory reset on the outdated Car Thing device while you're at home. You can follow the steps in this article to do it.

 

One you've done that, you'll need to set up that Car Thing using the phone with which you set up the one (Car Thing) with no inconveniences. You can find out how to do this in this other article.

 

If this doesn't do the trick, it'd be better if you get in touch with our Car thing customer support. You can find out how to contact them here.
