Hey there folks!
We made it through November, and it seems like most of us could use a quick mood fixer right now. For this month's In our Headphones, I'll try a slightly different format and walk over to our team members, feel free to come with 😁
Let’s see which songs helped the team get through “the February of autumn” 🍂
- Let's start by heading over to @Nikola and see what he’s been up to.
Hey, what’s up?
- In the cold days of November I've been longing for something
deeply philosophical. Something that can really get me thinking about life,
its meaning and the subtle motion of time. Music is meant to provoke thought
and I think these 2 songs do exactly that.

- My neck, my back, such an iconic track 💿 Thanks Nik!
And what about you, Vasko?
- This month I unexpectedly happened to listen to
the one and only King of Pop and once again got reminded of his greatness.
Michael is a treasure and should be remembered always. Have at it 🙂

An interesting fact for the song "Beat It"
is that Steve Lukather of Toto plays the rhythm guitar parts of the song
and Eddie Van Halen of the rock band Van Halen plays the solo.
And, speaking of Toto, here's one more track 🙂 Enjoy!

- Merci, @Vasil! Hold the line, but let's keep it open for @Lyubka ☎️
Hello, what’s been your mood boosters this month?
https://open.spotify.com/track/3jP6Yx6d8608AU4aIRJsE2?si=3e772555e3dc464f:small
- I really enjoy this song. I listen to it a couple of times a day 😄
The beat is great and this song always fixes my mood.
The second track that I've been listening to was this one. Cardi B's newest hit!
She's one of my favorite artists and I love her songs.
I hope y'all enjoy them.

- Awesome tracks! Hold up, what's that I’m hearing?
- A great artist from Bermuda 🙂
Enjoy the mellow vibes!

- So it's coming from your headphones, @Kiril 🎉
Do you have any other tunes you'd like to share?
- This one: Blundetto took his name from a popular Mafioso character
but actually is a great artist from France who worked
20 years as Radio programmer and realized his love is stuck in Reggae music.

Another great high-energy tune from a great multicultural collective
from Ottawa, Ontario called the Souljazz Orchestra!

- Thanks, Kiro! How about you @Joan,
what have you been up to?
- I've been continuing some musical discoveries this month.
When in the mood to go wild and have a grand time, I binged through
the albums of Swedish death metal supergroup Bloodbath.
Basically an all-star band of friends, this is what happens
when already established and talented musicians come together to
celebrate their love of old-school death metal. And I love it too!

And when I was feeling more moody and introspective,
some catchy tunes from the industrial legends
Skinny Puppy were the way to go. I spoke about them way back
in blog entry no. 3 and have been meaning to delve deeper since then.
These guys were revolutionary when they were brand new and they still are.

Thank you for adding these bangers 🎧
Let stop by our newest Mod @Ivelina as well 😁
- Here's some tunes from me:
Not the biggest fan of Doja overall, but this song I recently heard
on TikTok and on the radio and I really enjoyed it.
It's really calming to me, but pretty weird video clip,
she's giving me creepy vibes always.

This one sparked my interest immediately
and then I watched the video clip and did some digging on the outfits.
This resulted in me finding one of the most original (in my opinion)
fashion designers I've ever seen - Iris Van Herpen.

Just an original from the O.C. and whoever's watched it will know.

- As for me, I’ve slowly waddled into my autumn artists.
As soon as the first leaf hits the ground,
they’re on a constant loop. Let me introduce you to 2 of them,
and let’s kick it off with LÉON

is Charlotte Cardin

- That’s it folks, thanks for-, wait, @Yordan, how can I forget you.
Want to tell us about your faves this month?
- I did not forget & here it comes:
spotify:track:5PONCrsJnRyMsHBsnUS6I9
Geto Boys need no introduction, and "Still" is among the finest examples
of what hip hop has to offer. The track is packed with unmatched aggression:
the guys all have their own unique flow and their
voices blend perfectly with the killer (pun intended) beat
which is simply impossible to resist bopping your head to.
Perhaps my all-time favorite hip hop track, "Still" definitely still
holds up even to this day. All my homies know that "Still" > "Still D.R.E".
I recently went to a Depeche Mode concert with my girlfriend,
who is a huge fan. I myself had previously caught a few of their more
popular tracks on the radio, so I wasn't all too familiar with
their music at the time, but I have to say that these guys put on one hell of a show
and I can confirm that they still got it!
There is something about their music that's just so infectious
and even their goofier tracks still managed to draw me in,
as I often find myself humming them. But the more "serious-sounding" ones
is where Depeche Mode's strength truly lies with:
"Precious", "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence"
are all iconic works at this point, and I would also put "Wrong" up there,
as my new favorite which I first heard at the concert.
I've been pronouncing the word like Dave Gahan ever since I heard this song.
spotify:track:1EpjMVaoloW4sLIdfVD6P8
Gruzja is a bizarre beast and an experience that can best be described
as "uncanny". The vast amount of genres these guys take influences
from (including, but not limited to: punk, rock, electronic and black metal)
gives them boundless freedom to experiment and craft truly peculiar compositions.
It's almost impossible to categorize their music, as it doesn't seem
to really fit any genre in particular - sometimes it's more punk and aggressive,
other times is more black metal and misanthropic.
Each song is a unique alloy of disparate elements welded
together into this extraordinary composite that is as fun as it is weird.
And as if that wasn't enough, the vocals are handled by
four different people, each with their own distinct voice.
One thing is certain: these guys slap, and they slap really hard!

- Thank you, Yordan 😎
Hopefully this music will lift your mood as much as it lifted ours this November. Happy listening!
