Hello,
This album seems to be available in the US. I can like it, but if I try to play or download any of the songs, nothing happens. I’ve seen this before with playlists, but not with an album. Is this a known issue? Thanks in advance.

Hi @storeyrl!
When an album or a song is temporarily unavailable on Spotify, it doesn't get removed entirely from the platform. Instead, it just remains in this inaccessible state.
Unfortunately, we're can't really say why that particular album isn't currently available on Spotify (most likely it has to do with permissions from rights holders, like @Eni mentioned), but it's worth reaching out to the label on social media or their website for more info on the matter.
In the meantime, if you own the album, you can import it as local files to your Spotify library.
Hope this clears things up. The Community is always here if there's anything else you need assistance with.
Cheers!
Hey @storeyrl,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.
First off, we'd recommend that you check if you've blocked this artist in the past. Go to the artist's name and click on the three dot menu. If you've blocked it - you'll see the option "Allow to play this artist", tap on it and test again if you can play the songs. Please make sure to use mobile device while doing this.
Another option is that the songs you see are marked as Explicit and you have that type of content filtered off. You can read more about that here.
Lastly, it's possible that the songs were marked as "Don't play this'' at some point - and if that's the case you can follow the steps here to unmark it.
If none of the above is the case, we'd recommend that you test if you can play this album while logged in on another device. If you don't have another device available - try using the Web Player instead to see if there's a difference.
Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
Hi Lyubka, thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, they didn’t help. There’s definitely something wrong with this title. The album does not appear in the discography for the artist - I only found it from a google search, so I was surprised when it appeared as a Spotify album. I’m pretty sure it’s a Spotify problem. How should I notify them?
Hey @storeyrl,
Thanks for your reply.
We checked on our end and it looks like this album is not currently available in the US.
We’d love to have all the music, videos and podcasts in the world on Spotify, and we hope it will ever be! However, there’s content that’s not currently available (or its availability differs between countries). It all depends on permissions from rights holders.
We add new content every day, so if you can’t find something, it may appear (or reappear) soon.
Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
Thanks Eni,
Your reply makes sense, but why does the album appear in Spotify as if is is available (see attached screenshot). Additionally, it is available in YouTube music in the US. Again, thanks for your reply.
