My Question or Issue

I live in the UK and I use Spotify on my TV with a Sky package, pre-installed Spotify app. Every single available Spotify podcast works, except for The Joe Rogan Experience. I click on one episode, the episode starts, audio and video. Literally after 2 seconds, both video and audio just freeze. Please help.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

 

This issue might be caused by network issues or outdated firmware on the TV.

 

Try the following:

  • Check for available firmware updates both from the TV and for the TV modem of your Cable provider.
  • Try connecting your TV to another network, like a mobile hotspot.

If this doesn't help please let us know the model of your TV and when this started happening, so we can investigate further 🙂

Dear Alex,

I recently moved to another place and a Sky engineer came around to restore Sky in the new place. Now I can only listen to The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on my JVC TV with the Spotify app, there is no video. The thing is, I can watch The Joe Rogan Experience podcast fine with the Spotify app on my mobile phone.

As you’re still using the same internet provider, we’d need to check if it could be network related. Could you try using a different network to see if that does the trick? You can set up a hotspot on your phone and connect the TV to it.

 

If the issue persists, would you mind including in your next response the brand and model of your TV along with the Spotify version you’re currently running?

We’ll be on the lookout.
