My Question or Issue

So, I am trying to start a collaborative playlist with my girlfriend on Spotify, but I am having trouble adding her as a collaborator to the playlist. I cannot find the option to add her as a collaborator. She has also tried the same thing, but whenever either of us try to add songs to the playlist, the playlist doesn't show up. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or just not a feature on this part of Spotify, but I would prefer this to be fixed or added, please. Thank you.

Hi there @BibleCampVictim,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you enjoy your music together.

You mentioned that you're using a Chromebook, which can only use the web player. At the moment, it's not possible to add and/or manage playlist collaborators on the web player. Try doing that from your phone or on the desktop app where possible and you will see the option. After she has successfully joined as a collaborator, both of you can manage and enjoy the playlist from whichever device you like.

Hope this clears things up.

Why isn't it possible for a Chromebook to do it? Just curious

Hi @BibleCampVictim,

Thanks for the reply.

The web player is designed as a simplified version of the desktop app that can be used without requiring an install or any updating. Because of this however, not all features from the desktop app are available on the web player. Since you use a Chromebook, you can try installing the Android app on it, as that has several features that the web player lacks, including the ability to invite playlist collaborators.

Hope this clears things up.
