Descrepancy between Spotify EPs and singles and those on other streaming services

Descrepancy between Spotify EPs and singles and those on other streaming services

Many of the singles by Talla 2XLC from the past several years have a both the original and extended mixes on the iTunes Store but only the original mix on Spotify. By original mix, I mean radio edit length. The singles has the same album cover on both streaming services.

Why would this be? Is someone holding up on the rights to extended mixes of songs? The extended mixes aren't even listed grayed out. If they were just "Unavailable," they would be grayed out, but they are not.

Trance music is supposed to be five-to-eight minutes long. It's pop and rock that should be three to four minutes, not trance music.

It's a new and worrying trend from alot of labels, catering to commercialism and to those with short attention span for more plays and easier bucks. They're butchering my music experience on spotify, and I will have no other choice than to revert to mp3's again. Also the extended versions are the original mix, and alot of the times they make them as boring as possible now so that people will rather listen to the edits. It's unfortunate, and ruins the experience for those who enjoys music like me.
