My Question or Issue

On some podcasts, it's started showing a live transcript as part of a Read Along (Beta) feature. There's not much info for this out there and what few threads about this there are are not helpful, but I find this to be incredibly distracting and there doesn't seem to be a way to disable or toggle this feature.

On Desktop it appears in the right-hand side info pane and takes up half of that pane so you can't scroll away from it.

On mobile it flashes the transcript under the podcast cover art. I sometimes have my phone in a mount while driving and if my screen happens to wake while a podcast is playing I now have a a distracting, flashing transcript in my field of view when driving.

I've seen some people say there's a toggle option on mobile in the episode info screen's three-dot menu, but I don't have that. There's nothing on desktop that I can find either.

So what gives, is my listening experience doomed to now include flashing text?
