[Discover] Discover Weekly - a "smarter" algorithm to prevent mixing of genres

Hi Spotify,

I had a recent discussion with my wife about how amazing my Discover Weekly playlist is. Whereas her experience has been quite different. As an example of what frustrates her about her own list is that she uses her Spotify app to also play music for our toddler. As such, her Discover Weekly blends genres that she'd prefer are kept apart (music which relates to her daily listening pleasure, vs. baby music). Is there a way to "streamline" the Discover Weekly algorithm such that it only picks up the genre of music one seeks?

Another example that my wife mentions is that she has her work music and her workout music. Blending both of these in Discover Weekly results in a cacophony of dissimilar sounds and tempos - suboptimal listening...

We totally understand where you're coming from. If your wife doesn't want to keep getting suggestions based on this type of music, we suggest that she turns on a Private Session. Anything she listens to while being in a Private Session will not affect any of her recommendations.
