My Question or Issue

Why doesn’t Spotify have the full 4.44 min version of Listen to the Music? I would think Spotify would have  the original album version instead of the shorter radio play version. Has bothered me for years.

Hey @antf654,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Sorry for the delayed response, we've just come across this post.

As much as we'd love to have all the music in the world on Spotify, the content varies over time and between countries. It all depends on permissions from rights holders, so it's not always up to Spotify to choose which versions of songs/ albums are available.

If the music you'd love to listen to isn't on Spotify, it'd be great for you to try the following:

  • Get in touch with the related artists' label on social media or their site!

  • You can fill out this form to register your interest.

  • In the meantime, you can import local files to your Spotify library.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!

Guess Spotify does not care about pleasing customers. Don’t see any response to my post.
