Should be international with premium, shouldn’t it? - however the content I am looking for is Dutch, my language is English (uk) and my country of residence is Germany.

My Question or Issue

I am trying to find a Dutch audiobook, but only get the German version. Why? And how can I change the search settings or whatever is going wrong here?

It doesn’t help if I change the language to Dutch either.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

As long as the content is uploaded on the platform, and is available in your country, you should be able to find it when searching for it. It's possible that the Dutch version of the audiobook is temporarily unavailable in your region. This depends on permissions from rights holders. New content is added every day, so if you can’t find something, it may appear (or reappear) soon.

Hi and thanks for the generic information. The questions here are:

1. Is there content not made available to users by certain criteria. You answered this with a clear yes but don’t gave us the criteria (other than „region“ - whatever this is). Please elaborate on those, to prevent users from useless searches.
2. The follow up question is on how do users change „their“ match to your criteria?
3. The last questions from me at the moment are: Is the content I quoted available or not? And if yes why exactly can’t I see them?

I checked the availability of this specific audiobook in Dutch and can confirm that it's currently not available anywhere, which might be a rightsholder's decision. Sometimes certain content may be available only in the country of origin - for example a Dutch audiobook may only be available in the Netherlands, that's why I mentioned that you may not see it in your current region, which is Germany. This is the criteria, which may restrict what users see, so if you have any questions regarding this, you can try to reach out to the creator/publisher and their team for more info. Your feedback on this is greatly appreciated!
