How to add early albums/defunct bands to Spotify?

My friend told me you can add your own private files to play through Spotify, but I have no idea how to do that.

Example: The band Giants. Spotify has 2 of their albums available, but I want to listen to their early 4-song EP. I have it on my computer at home, but I want to be able to listen to it through the Spotify app, so I don't have to switch between Apple Music and Spotify. Plenty of other bands with this exact scenario. Some of their music is on Spotify, but their early demos and 7" recordings aren't.

Same with local, underground, DIY bands that don't have music available through Spotify.
