I have a question about hiding songs in Release Radar.

I have a question about hiding songs in Release Radar.

I try to listen to all the songs that are added to Release Radar every week, and when I'm done listening to them, I choose to hide them by choosing "Hide song" from the options.

However, if that action includes "I don't like this song" or "dislike", it's not my intention.

Does "hide song" affect the data Spotify learns about your preferences?

Is it possible that in the future, songs released by artists I follow will no longer be added to Release Radar because they are "not my favorite"?

The plan is premium, the device is iPhone 11 Pro, the OS is iOS 13.6 and the Spotify version is 8.5.67.867.

Please answer me 🙇️

Hi @coretomayu!

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community.

The Hide this Song button is used to hide songs that you don't want to hear anymore. By pressing that button you are telling to the Spotify algorithm to not reproduce that song again and, implicitly, that you don't want to listen to songs similar to the one you hid.

In case you need, you can follow the steps in this article to enable hidden songs to be shown again.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
