I understand ads are necessary for free plans but this is getting ridiculous

My Question or Issue

My complaint isn't that I'm getting ads; I have the free plan, I expect to get ads. But I've noticed that the quantity of ads has drastically increased as of late. I'm currently getting about 3 30-second-minimum ads every two songs (that's more ads than songs). Ignoring the fact that the ads themselves are awful and repeat themselves ad nauseam, I remember when I started Spotify there would actually be a decent stretch where you would get a break from the ad breaks. That just doesn't happen anymore. I know I can get an ad-free experience with premium but that's not what I'm currently looking for. I'm not saying I want no ads, but the current state of ads has started to become unreasonable. It's stopped being me listening to music with a few ads inserted to me listening to ads with the occasional song thrown in. (And it's always the same ads too, the repetition is infuriating, and disliking the ad to say I've heard it too many times does nothing).
