John Frusciante - Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-shirt

Why is Frusciante's Niandra Lades album on the European Spotify but not on the US one? It is one of my favorite albums and I would love to have access to it.

Spotify wants all the world’s music on Spotify. However, some artists and tracks aren't currently available. Sometimes agreements can’t be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership.

Licensing for songs is region/country specific, meaning that some countries have access to music others don't. It seems as though this is the case here.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be fully licensed on Spotify.

Thanks for replying. That makes sense in general, it is just peculiar, given that this is an American artist and the rest of his albums are available in the US.
