Localised Ads playing on podcasts while removing the podcast’s individual ads/sponsors while on Prem

My Question or Issue

The only podcast I’d been listening to up until recently was Distractible, it had individually made sponsored breaks that were always interesting and enjoyable. The same went for the podcasts Go! My Favourite Sports Team and Brain Leak. 

However, since the release of the video exclusive content - I’ve not heard the sponsors made by the creators of said podcasts. Instead, I’ve been receiving localised ads on banks, car brands and the like. This change has made my listening experience unenjoyable and frustrating as I feel a need to skip these ads, they can take me out of the moment and more often then not play outside of ad/sponsor breaks. 

However, when listening to the podcast This Is Monsters - I also get ads based on Ireland localisation? I don’t use a VPN, nor live anywhere near there. It’s all very confusing.

Can I go back?? I miss the consistency of the podcasts and their sponsored content, it’s getting close to me dumping the podcast side of Spotify as a whole thanks to this disturbance.

I feel the same way!! I also listen to and very much enjoy Distractable, GMFST and Brain Leak and I absolutely despise the generic ads that have started playing over the podcasts. I'm a premium member so that I don't get ads, but I didn't mind the sponsored ad reads that the podcast hosts themselves made. The ones that have started playing over the podcasts though I REALLY hate. I hope Spotify stops them and go back to how they were before but I don't think they will. I'm going to try everything I can to stop hearing them. If I can't I might have to stop using Spotify for podcasts as well.
