[Music] Block / Hide / Blacklist Tracks or Artists

[Music] Block / Hide / Blacklist Tracks or Artists

I understand Spotify actively prevent artists like xxxtentacion from appearing on their sponsored playlists due to their actions against women. However i question why artists such as 6ix9ine are still actively promoted after he plead guilty in court to "the use of a child in a sexual performance". Is this not just a double standard Spotify is implementing as 6ix9ine is raking in the streams right now. This isnt even mentioning the debacle that is Chris Brown.

Hello @flufferkitten!

Rest assured, Spotify’s internal review process on ‘offensive content’ constantly seeks to remove illegal/offensive content.

Spotify has some info about this here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I completely agree.

Seeing as though this feature has been requested for 5+ years, it would seem as though protecting its paid users from abusive content is not a priority for Spotify?

These "artists" should be in jail, not paying to be featured on Spotify's recommended playlists. And if they are, I reserve the right to opt-out of their content. Otherwise, am I not directly supporting their careers?

This is not a difficult one, Spotify.
