Old Release Radar lists

Solved!

Old Release Radar lists

Hi,

I have a premium account and did not have the time to check the Release Radar list last week. Is it possible to recover it or see what it contained?

Many thanks, JM.

Hey folks,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately it's not possible to recover your Release Radar playlist from previous week. We can see how that would be a handy feature and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us.

What you can do is put the songs in a playlist as soon as it's updated, that way you can listen to them later - even if there is already a new one. You can do this by going to the Release Radar playlist and selecting its three-dot menu. There, tap Add to other playlist and create a new one by selecting + New playlist

If you'd like to see that option available, we'd recommend that you post your suggestion in our Ideas board. You'll find all the relevant info about our Idea Exchange and how the Community feedback gets implemented here if you'd like to know more about the topic.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you 🙂

Thank you A pity it is not possible or planned.

No, there isn't a way to get your last weeks release radar playlist (not that I know of or could find anything on this topic) or any other for that matter, but I came up with my own solutions to this problem, cause it also happens to me every once in a while. Let me explain.

Preperation:

Have the playlist automatically downloaded every week in case of Internet outage and still wanting to listen to the weekly playlist

The first and easy solution:
  • If you don't find the time to time to listen to it, but still think of it in the 7 day span, just screenshot the whole playlist and come back to it later by just putting them all in the que when you find the time
  • The screenshotting just takes a few seconds upwoards to a minute, so you can do this while waiting in the escalator, sitting on the toilet, taking a short break you get the point, but maybe try to do it every week in the exact same time, just in case 💼
  • This obviously only works if the list it still up, but this strategy served me well a few times already and it's reliable

Now to the second and more tedious solution:
  • So the playlist is gone and now what? By going on your profil, clicking on the following tab and going through every single artist you follow and look if they released anything new and putting them in the que or a new temporary playlist and don't forget to not only go on the single/EP and Album tab, but also on the "Included in" section(!) if you scroll further down
  • This obviously only works if you're a person that generally follows artists and if not, this would be the perfect time to start, but by mentioning that I don't even know how "Release Radar" works if you don't follow artists

I just want to say, this is a emergency situation and you won't get all the songs that would show up in your "Release Radar" playlist, this is just a way to try to get a few songs you missed

I know this is a time consuming and maybe won't get you the result you want, but it's what worked for me and maybe for you

If you know any other way or have a way to get even more songs, feel free to let me and everybody know that reads this

Thanks for reading and maybe I could help someone finding the songs they missed
