Re-releasing tracks with no interest in keeping the streams

Re-releasing tracks with no interest in keeping the streams

Hi guys,

Been looking around your site but I couldn't find an answer to my doubt.

Ok, I have recently uploaded a few songs on Spotify through a distributor. The thing is, once they were uploaded I realised I had followed the loudness penalty rules too scrupulously and they sound too low, plus, the mastering of the tracks I made myself is not good, thus I have not promoted these tracks and have decided to take them to a professional mastering engineer so he masters them and afterwards reupload them in a few months with time enough to do the right promo.

I have no interest in keeping the streams of these tracks as they are not getting any, I'd rather make a good impression and make everyone think they are new releases in a few months; should I tell my distributor to remove them and then upload the new mixes later on? Is there any way to just hide these tracks on my profile? Should I change the metadata of the tracks or keep it the same? I read sometimes a track doesn't fully disappear when it's removed and that some people get communications on removed tracks.

Also, I think I could upload a few test tracks just to check their mastering/loudness quality to take notes so this doesn't happen again, and then remove them, would you recommend it or not?

What do you suggest that I should do? As I said, I am not interested in keeping the plays of these tracks, unlike most people, as when I do the promo and re-release them I want the tracks to be waiting for release or be brand new releases, so...?
Thanks in advance
