Recent artists and recently played do not match

My Question or Issue

The last song is still in the friends activity list with an 12 hour ago update. 

But this is a different song than the recently played artists show... 

How can there be a discrepancy? 

Also, it shows a song that was played through a playlist, yet when I open the playlist, that song is not in there.
