Hello. I'm using Spotify Premium, specifically I'm in a family plan. I am currently abroad and wanted to use this time to listen to music I can only get on Spotify locally (Ex: Von by Yoko Kanno.)

Unfortunately, I am unable to. The song does not come up on my account when I search, I am unable to switch my regions as I'm not the head of the family and am not moving here either; it was said that "You can travel anywhere without having to change your settings." Did I misunderstand the meaning of this?

When using a free plan account I had, I could easily access this song and many more available in the country by switching the region of my account. Is this absolutely necessary? I would not really prefer having to use a free account for the remainder of my trip.

Hey @falls, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Yes, that's correct. You can travel anywhere with your Spotify account, without having to change your country settings. Spotify wants all the world’s music and podcasts available, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders. More info about this can be found here.

Hope this helps!
