Spotify Blend Not Updating With Songs Released Past March 2023

My Question or Issue

My friends and I have a blend we've been tracking since August 2023 to generate metrics on with who gets the most songs, who's the biggest fan of what genre, etc based on the Blend's updates (we are nerds). We've noticed that the Blend won't add anything released later than March 10 2023, despite us listening to more recent music (I can personally say that https://open.spotify.com/track/4gxNIT5mQRjZ1jzePsF3Ud?si=f0095d80135f4fe7 has topped my On Repeat ever since it first came out, and despite one of my friend's top genres being vocaloid--which would make us think it should pop up as an area of overlap--it hasn't appeared. Similarly, I've had multiple COBRAH songs, but never Suck, which also has been in my On Repeat for a month or so now.)

I've checked some of my other blends and this seems to be the case there too. So: feature or bug?

Attached ZIP contains our historical data (starting August 8th) in CSV format--we do a manual daily export so we've missed a couple of days, but not enough to be significant. 🙂

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

Could you let us know if the same thing happens with other Made for you playlists such as Discover Weekly? 

On another note, we suggest that you try to create a new blend with your friends and see how it is updates for a few days/weeks.

I've run through my Made For You playlists and can report that none of my Blends contain music released later than 3/10, including the one referenced in this post and three others. Myself and one of the people on the Blend from the main post made a new Blend yesterday and so far no songs have surfaced from later than 3/10. we're also prioritizing listening to new music to see if we can force something newer to pop up.

However, can confirm that Daily Mixes, Repeat Rewind, and On Repeat all contain songs released after 3/10.
