Spotify Jams start randomly

Spotify Jams start randomly

Recently, I’ve been playing Spotify from my iPhone 13 and I’ve never had the issue before, but different people keep creating a jam(it’s happened 3-4 times in the last week) and selecting their own music or trying to shuffle my music around. This isn’t the first time this has happened either. It’s happened several times that someone has tried to use my profile while I was logged into Spotify and start playing music from another location. Last week, someone started a jam and tried to use my first name in the profile to make it look like I was playing the music. I’ve changed my passwords several times and even the passwords to the email/facebook accounts associated with my Spotify, and I’m not sure what

Hey @clomatical,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

First off, we'd suggest that you log out everywhere.

We'd also recommend that you remove access for any third party apps as you might have used your account on external devices (such as speakers, etc.) in the past. You can do that with the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Apps page.
  2. Click REMOVE ACCESS on any app.

On another note, if you think someone’s gained access to your account - head here and see what steps you'd need to take.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you 🙂

First spotify is amusic playing app.  I have to disconnect from all speakers for functiona to work as intended? Second, its literally the most annoying thing ever.  Im sure theres some teen /millenial boppers who love playing music and living life with people they dont know, but for most of us who live life in the real world on a daily basis, irs the most annoying thing ever to the point im about to cancel spotify subscription for my family.  Just make the damn technololgy work as intended
